MiniMax

The MiniMax is a compact design fifth wheel, measuring at 570mm x 440mm and weighing in at just 55kg, including pedestals. When designing the MiniMax, D’Angelo thought not only of the rugged Australian conditions but also the practical use of their product.

The MiniMax features replaceable greaseless top pads, a replaceable greaseless wear ring and replaceable, greaseless saddles for a clean environment and reduced maintenance cost. In addition, the release handle has been placed so that the operator can remain kerbside during operation for roadside safety.

The other advantages of the MiniMax fifth wheel over “ball” type and smaller couplings is its stability, greater vertical load and larger towing capacity. Together with an exclusive adjustable jaw, which minimises slack and therefore improves jaw life, this is why the Australian made MiniMax is the perfect choice.

Dual Application Vehicles The MiniMax can also be inverted to hang upside down on any step-deck trailers and when combined with the D’Angelo Folding Kingpin it will allow you to return your ute or tray-back to its original form.

500 Series

The D’ Angelo 500 Series fifth wheel has proven itself time and time again out in the field. With over 30 years of service in the transport industry it is now a well-known product in its own right. The D’Angelo 500 Series is still going strong because its guiding design principles, to be uncomplicated, economic and robust, are just as relevant today as they ever were. The 500 Series comes standard with an easy jaw adjustment meaning that maintenance intervals are fewer and thus off-the-road time is minimised and productivity is increased.

The 500 Series fifth wheel has also earned a reputation for long life foot bushes, again reducing downtime, and has plenty of oscillation available for those out of the way places.

Mini 50

The Mini 50 is another design patented product of D’Angelo and can be used for practically any type of vehicle application. With its unique wear ring adjustment system and heavy duty foot bushes, the Mini 50 outlasts any other model in its class.

The Mini 50 fifth wheel is fitted with an easy reach, side access returnable release handle. This means at all times, whether hooked up or disconnected, the handle retracts against the turntable. This feature reduces the likelihood that the release handle is unintentionally bent, which can cause problems when reconnecting. The side mounted release handle and low profile design of the Mini 50 also means it suits slide-back type trailers.

The D’Angelo Mini 50 can be used as a towbar type configuration at the rear of a vehicle in conjunction with an underslung crossmember.

Maxi 50

The special feature of D’Angelo’s Maxi 50 is its unique adjustable wear ring which prolongs jaw life. The Maxi 50 also has a safety device built in that prevents operators from dropping a trailer accidentally.

The Maxi 50 fifth wheel is fitted with an easy reach, side access returnable release handle. This means at all times, whether hooked up or disconnected, the handle retracts against the turntable. This feature reduces the likelihood that the release handle is unintentionally bent, which can cause problems when reconnecting. The D’Angelo Maxi Heavy Duty range comes supplied with D’Angelo’s strongest jaw mechanism, giving you confidence that the load is secure, even on the toughest road conditions. The Maxi Heavy Duty is available with jaw sizes of 50mm, 75mm and 90mm. 800 Maxi

The 800 Maxi is suitable for applications where the Maxi 50 is too large to fit in the required space. It is also indicated where greater load stability is required, over that which mini-fifth wheels can offer, perhaps because of unusual loads or those with higher centers of gravity. The 800 Maxi has all the same features of the Maxi range and is particulary useful for slideback trailers.
